I've got Spring Fever and decided this was the perfect opportunity to create a fun springy card using my dies from Cheery Lynn Designs.
I started by cutting the Little Pink Bicycle twice and piecing the parts together. The flowers in the basket are from Build a Flower Embellishment #2. The Grass Border is layered twice, with the bike tucked between the layers. I inked the background onto a Classic Oval Silver Stacker, layering it atop the Scalloped Oval Stacker Nesting die. Of course we need a couple Mini Dimensional Butterflies! The Swedish Spring Oval Frame has the perfect dainty touch to bring it all together. For some fun texture, I embossed the yellow banner with the Flutter Bys Embossing Plate, and the card base with the Dotted Swiss Embossing Plate. The card base was then cut from the Classic Coved Rectangle Silver Stacker, layered with the Scalloped Coved Rectangle Stacker Nesting Die.

ReplyDeleteI loooove this card! My two favorite color combos are yellow and blue and yellow and pink and you just hit them both with this one! Awesome!!!!! My fav thing about spring is by far the end of all things snowy. I really really REALLY don't like all this snow. :(
ReplyDeleteI am LOVING this card! SO sweet, great use of dies and layers! What I love most about spring is the color and the warm weather. I love seeing things bloom and green up (even if it does wreak havoc with my allergies!)

ReplyDeleteHi Jodi! Actually, one of the things I love about spring and waiting for - is riding bike, when all these piles of snow melt and the weather is warm. So your card is super springy for me.

ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful work you do! I'm very happy to be a new follower. My very favorite part of Spring is when the Canada Geese come back in March. I love listening to them honk and carry on out on the still frozen pond. A few hardy souls will probably be arriving any day now! YAY!
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize there were so many designs. I love this. I love spring mornings when I can go out right around dawn and take pictures of my flowers when they still have the dew on them. My roses look the best especially with the a fresh new morning light. I'm a new follower and look forward to seeing what all you have done with the CL Designs.

ReplyDeleteAdorable card! I love all the colors of spring! I love seeing things come back to life! (leaves on the trees, the grass is green, flowers are blooming, etc.) It is hard not to be happy in spring!

ReplyDeleteLove the card, it makes me want to jump on a bike and ride away!. My favorite thing about spring happens first in the garden. It's the renewal, the planting of seeds to start something new to grow like Tomato's peppers etc. Then when this starts, I start feeling renewed too. :)

ReplyDeleteYour card is so cute...love it! The only thing I don't like about Spring is the mud, and constantly having to wipe the dogs feet of. I think that I love the smell of Spring the best.
