Homeward Bound

Hello! I’m here today to share another fun way to use the Cheery Lynn Designs frame dies on a 12x12 layout.

The Fathers Day Homeward Bound Frame Die perfectly compliments the background in the photo of my son.

I cut the top half of the die (goose/sun portion) from gold pattern paper, then trimmed the edges by hand to place at the top of my photo.  I cut the bottom half of the die (reeds/cattails portion) three times from green pattern paper, giving me three pieces to create the border at the bottom of the photo.
I colored in the cattails with a marker, then added some Distress Stickles to give them a bit of texture. I’ve added clusters of Small Leaves #2, Pine Branches, and Pair of Ferns here and there, adding a couple of the smaller Darling Daisies for color.
The Celtic Heart is the ideal place to house my title. To the left of the photo, I added a Circle Lace Mega Reflections Boutique Doily. The blue layer and brown photo matte were cut using the Mini Pearl Rectangle Reflections Mega Die set.

You make life Beautiful

Hello! I have a fun 12x12 layout I created for Cheery Lynn Designs to share with you today! Doesn’t my niece have the most precious smile!
(sorry, blogger is cutting off the edge of my photo??)
To create my layout, I started on the inside with the largest of the Lace Square Heart Reflections Die, layered with a Mini Pearly Square Reflections Die. Around the heart square, I added the Francesca border. Underneath, I cut four pieces of the French Lattice Small Frame to fill in my background. Complementing the lattice is the Queen Anne’s Lace border. Finishing off the corners is Lace Corner Deco F. Tucked under the photo is the French Pastry doily. The Lace Script font has the perfect elegance to compliment the layout.
To create the large white flower, I cut Flower Stacker #5 from 8 layers of coffee filters, finishing the center with Build a Flower #1. I’ve added some fun embellishments using the Celtic Heart and Colonial Lamp Post dies. Other flowers and foliage include the Miniature, Medium, and Large Roses, as well as the Princess Tree, Stacker Flower #1 Leaf, and Small Leaves #2.

Sweet Baby

Hello! Have you seen the new Pixie Dies from Cheery Lynn Designs? They are so adorable! Today’s card features Pixie Guardian.

I cut the die from glitter cardstock, making her pop even more! The third circle from the Classic Silver Stacker and Scalloped Circle Nesting Die makes the perfect background behind her.
I tucked in some foliage using Olive Branches, Small Leaves #2, and Flourish Leaf Strip. The tag was created with the smallest of the Scalloped Coved Rectangle Nesting Stackers, decorated with the Coved Rectangle Piercing Tool. To create the scalloped layer, I placed two pieces of Border Carnivale back to back. Around the edges is the Classic French Flair Silver Stacker atop the Scalloped French Flair Nesting Stacker. The background was cut using a Mini Pearl Rectangle Reflection Die, adding texture using the Baby Feet Embossing Plate.

Berry fun!

Hello! I love summer, don’t you! One of my favorite things about summer is the access to so many fresh fruits and veggies. Strawberries, one of my favorites, was the inspiration for today’s Cheery Lynn Designs project. Six Strawberry note cards, and a basket to hold them. Something fun for a birthday treat, to say
"Welcome to the neighborhood,” or just for fun!

The base of the card was cut from the largest of the Nesting Egg die set, I sliced a small portion off the top to give it more of a strawberry feel. A leaf from the Tropical Leaves was to perfect top to the berry. I added the Mini Fanciful Flourish for a few little vines, and a leaf from Large Leaves #2. Of course I needed a little bud, which I cut from the Flower Chain Border.

To create the sides of the basket, I used the Mini Pearl Rectangle Reflections die cut from Coredinations. I embossed the rectangles with the Woodgrain Embossing Plate. After sanding the embossed portion, I cut the center of the rectangle with my craft knife to create a frame for my Lattice box.
