Hello! I'm here today with another Cheery Lynn Designs card featuring a mix of textures.
Loving the simple beauty of the white on white cards, I decided to add a bit of elegance by combining a dainty embossed background (Petite Hearts) layered with the classy patterns of the French Lattice Small Frame. I really love the combination of the two textures together. To the right of the card I layered the Two of Hearts, adding just a spritz of Stickles to add to the delicate feel of the card.
To the left I started with the Fanciful Flourish and added a bit of foliage using the Olive Branches and SM Leaves #2. To create the flower, I layered two dies of each size of the Darling Daisies, lightly inking the edges of the petals before adhering the layers together. Notice the leaves. They were cut from white cardstock and lightly inked with Ranger distress inks. I just love the way the ink brings out the details!
I really had fun creating this flower using the Cuties #2 die! The flower is 8 layers of pink tissue paper. I cut four layers at a time….yes, remember when using tissue paper the dies will cut through a few layers at a time! I cut one layer of 4, and then a second layer of 4. Keep each layered strip together. Do NOT separate the layers. Attach the two strips together, staggering the petals. Roll with quilling tool. Glue the ends. Fold down the petals and fluff. Enjoy your beautiful flower!
There is still time to participate in this weeks challenge for your chance to win a $20 shopping spree!
