My Creative Scrapbook February Reveal!

Hello!  It is time to reveal the adorable  kits from My Creative Scrapbook!  For the month of February I had the pleasure of working with the gorgeous Limited Edition kit featuring the Key to My Heart collection from KaiserCraft!
I added some stickles for a bit of fun flair. The leaves and flourishes were cut using my dies from Cheery Lynn Designs.
Of course some fun fussy cutting!  The kit comes with some gorgeous Prima flowers.  I took the center out of the green flower.  I folded the larger portion in half and tucked it under the fussy cut flowers for filler and dimension.  I used the smaller center portion in a separate cluster on the page.
I kit also contains some beautiful angels from Prima Marketing

More fabulous flowers from the kit, as well as some fussy cutting, and diecuts!

Isn't this kit just gorgeous?!  To see all the contents of this kit, and to get a peek and the other fabulous kits stop by My Creative Scrapbook.   Check out the Design Team Gallery for oodles more inspiration!

Detail Delight

Hello!  When decorating your home, you chose just the right accessories to compliment your eye giving your home a warm welcoming feeling.  When dressing up, you chose the accessories that compliment your outfit giving the sexy appeal you feel.   The same happens in choosing just the right embellishments (or accessories) to compliment your page.  Any way you look at it, it's all in the details you add. In working with kits from My Creative Scrapbook,  Pam fills the kits with oodles of coordinating embellishments.  I want to share with you today the difference just a few details can make.
My first layout.
I started by adding a textured background, some stitching, and a few embellishments to my layout...looks good as is.
By adding just a few more details, it  created a whole new look!

I've photographed my second layout in three stages.  A textured background, a few layers, and a couple flowers.
Already a big change in appearance by adding not only a few more embellishments, but by adding embellishments with a complimentary color!

And finally, just a few small details make a big impact!

And lastly...
a few small embellishments make it feel more complete!

My Creative Sketches-August Sketch Reveal

Hello!  It's time for the August Sketch reveal at My Creative Sketches!  Join in the fun for your chance at the incredible  prize pack of goodies!!  Check out My Creative Sketches for all the details, and to find lots more gorgeous inspiration from the DT!

I had a lot of fun adding layers of chipboard, fussy cut elements, lace, and flowers in the top corner.
I love how the stamped bird blends right in with the fussycut elements!

I just drool over the masking and stenciling I see in the online galleries and have been inspired to try them out a bit more!  Here I applied modeling paste over the mask, once dry I gently rubbed various areas with ink for a distressed look.
I hope you have enjoyed my interpretation of the sketch!  I would love for you to share your version with us at My Creative Sketches!
