Blue Eyes

Hello! Jodi here with another layout for you. Sitting down to create my blog post, I realize how addicted I am to my dies from Cheery Lynn Designs! I can’t seem to stop adding layers, “lace,” creating flowers and other embellishments! These soft, vintage papers from Kaiser Craft just beckoned me to keep adding more!

After fussy cutting the birdcage and large flower from the pattern paper, I tucked in a Mega Polynesian Sail Doily. The Fanciful Flourish is the prefect addition behind the birdcage. The flowers from the Flower Chain Border perfectly matched the blue flowers on the pattern paper. I removed the chain from around the flowers, inked the petals, and strategically placed them on the flourish, and amongst the flowers on the pattern paper.

At the top of the photo, I tucked in the French Pastry Doily. The Medium Rose, along with leaves from the Small Dimensional Leaves #2 set, embellishes the metal frame. My favorite little Mini Exotic Butterflies adorn the doily and birdcage.
To the bottom of the photo you will find the Dancing Doily Lace Border layered atop the Francesca Border. Poking out from under is the English Tea Party Doily. With those big blue eyes, you just can’t help but show your affection with the Two of Hearts!

Along the bottom left side you will find a cluster with the larger flower being the Sweet Williams (two layers of each die) and Darling Daisies as the flower center. It is accompanied by a Miniature Rose, Large Rose, and a flower from the Flower Chain Border. To the right, Stacker Flower #5 (3 layers) is peeking out from under the doily, (again I used Darling Daisies as the flower center) and along with another Large Rose. Leaves from Stacker Flower #1 and Small Dimensional Leaves #2 fill in the bouquets as well as around the layout.

The design for my layout was inspired by the current sketch challenge at Scrap 365 Magazine.
