My Creative Scrapbook

Hello!  I'm here today to share a couple more layouts I created for My Creative Scrapbook with the amazing Main Kit....You can see the full kit here!
Using my dies from Cheery Lynn Designs, I pieced together the Snowflake edger around the base of my layout to add a bit of elegance to the layout. The Mega Tea Party Doily is the perfect backdrop for the Santa that I fussy cut from pattern paper.
All the foliage was cut from the same off white cardstock as the edger and doily. I added color to the foliage using Ranger Distress inks and pouncers….colors used: Forest Moss, Pine Needles, Crushed Olive, Peeled Paint, and Shabby Shutters. A similar effect could be created using fewer colors. I use more colors to get more variation in different types of foliage used. To create the flower cluster, I started by choosing the placement of the flowers. Next, I tucked in the leaves, followed by the flourish. From there, I poke in one piece at a time until the bouquet it is pleasing to my eye.

Snowflake 2 and the Snowflowers floating about completes the wintery feel.

I placed a few more pieces of foliage here and there for a bit of interest.

I created this layout to have a shadowbox effect by cutting my pattern paper into a frame and adhering it to the background using foam adhesive.

When cutting the frame, I fussy cut around the bird on the pattern paper. I added diecut foliage for dimension.

Non Traditional Holiday Card

Hello! I have my last holiday card to share!
Stepping away from my comfort zone, I chose to use non traditional holiday colors. The background was cut using the largest Classic Coved Rectangle Silver Stacker. Lace Corner Deco C adorns the corners. I turned the Dutch Scallop Square Frame at an angle for more interest.

To create the flower, I cut Rose Leaf Strip twice. I staggered the leaves as I attached them. Once assembled, I added just a touch of Distress Stickles to add to the vintage flair. Build a Flower Embellishment #2 was used to create the flower center. Foilage was cut using Wreath Strip and Holly Leaves.   Tucked in behind the flower is Snowflake 2.

Here you can see the details in the background. I covered the Diamonds & Starburst Embossing Plate with Ranger Distress Ink (Spun Sugar) to add a hint of color to the embossed areas. This is the smaller of the Merry Christmas sentiment set.

I created a holiday card with the stamps and inks I received.
I started by stamping the  The Snow Cardnial with Prussian Blue on white cardstock. I cut the my card 3.5 inches x 6 inches and extended to 4x7 inches on the bottom to make my folds. I stamped the background paper with the Musical Border using Warm Red ink. The card base and matte were cut using the Mini Pearl Rectangle Reflections Mega Dies. To the right of the image, I added a portion of the O Tannenbaum X-mas Tree, adding color and filling in the scene. On the first fold, I added the Garden Gate (distressed with Chestnut Roan), adorned with the Christmas Light Swag.  Pine Branches in the top corner add more color and texture. Snowflakes flutter about.

Snow flowers #1 dress up the sentiment stamp (Love & Cheer), stamped in Dark Moss

Hello! I'm here with a 12x12 layout for Cheery Lynn Designs.
I set the feel of the layout by adding the elegant Francesca Border around the base layer. Down the center, the Tiffany Border pops! Behind the photo is the gorgeous Mega Tea Party Doily.
The white flowers were created with the Frangipani,. Build a Flower Embellishments #2 was used for the flower centers, as well as the small pink flowers.
Build a Flower #2 was used to create the large rose. Miniature Roses can be found in yellow. The Exotic Butterfly Mini adorns the bouquets, while the Exotic Butterfly small #2 rests on the Victorian Picket Fence.
