Going Tropical

Hello! I love this photo of my son and his girlfriend. I really wanted it to pop off the page so went with a white background and darker matting.
The matte was created with layers cut from the Mini Rectangle Reflections Die, Bunny and Chick, and the brown layer was embossed with the Woodgrain XL Embossing Plate for a bit of added texture.
Atop the photo, English Tea Party doily radiates in a sunny fashion…also the perfect spot to place my title with the word “kiss” cut from the Lace Script Lower Case set.
To the left of the photo the Flower Chain Border, Border Carnivale, and Tiffany Border help set a tranquil feel.
I began the cluster with the Mega Flourish Two going along the side and bottom of my photo. Next, the Victorian Picket Fence was cut from gray cardstock and lightly brushed with Ranger Distress Paints to give a weathered look. Trying to create a more tropical flower look, the larger blue flower was cut from the Frangipani. I then added one layer of Medium Rose, topped with the smallest of the Darling Daisies. The smaller blue flower was created from two layers of the Medium Rose, again the smallest of the Darling Daisies being the flower center. The orange flowers are two layers of the Darling Daisies. Tropical Leaves tucked in around the flowers completes the topical feel.
Of course I had to add some of my favorites…Exotic Butterfly small #2 and Exotic Butterfly Mini!
